Summary:A rolling-bearing holding cage (1) includes axially (a) spaced side rings (2, 3) and a plurality of bridges (4) disposed between the side rings. A pair of circumferentially (U) adjacent bridges (4) defines with the side rings (2, 3) a receiving pocket (5) configured to receive a rolling element (6), and each of the plurality of bridges (4) has rolling surfaces (7, 8) located on the sides facing the rolling element (6) and used for the rolling element (6). To improve the guide to the rolling element by the holding cage and the durability of a lubricant, the rolling surfaces (7, 8) are disposed at two axial end regions (9, 10) of the receiving pocket (5), and a circumferentially (U) recessed region is disposed between the rolling surfaces (7, 8) such that the rolling element (6) does not contact the recessed region (11).
