Summary:The invention relates to a steam cooling system for low-temperature smoke and a working method. A traditional coal-fired generator set adopts no heating device at the smoke downstream of a desulfurization tower; and the smoke discharge temperature in a chimney is lower after the spraying by the desulfurization tower. The steam cooling system for low-temperature smoke comprises a desulfurization tower (1); the desulfurization tower is connected with a steam cooler (2); the steam cooler is respectively connected with a chimney (3), an auxiliary steam input device (4) and a drain tank (7); the drain tank (7) is connected with a boiler drainage system (6); and an adjusting valve (5) is mounted between the auxiliary steam input device and the steam cooler. The steam cooling system is applied to the smoke temperature adjustment.
