The purpose of the invention is to provide a temperature and salt resistant polymer prepared from sewage, and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: 1, preparing the heat and salt resistant polymer; and 2, preparing a polymer solution with a required concentration by using treated sewage. A polyacrylamide polymer with good temperature and salt resistance is prepared through ternary polymerization of 2-propylacrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, acrylamide and lignosulfonate; and the temperature and salt resistant polymer solution prepared by adopting the treated sewage has the advantages of freshwater resource saving, sewage discharge reduction, energy saving and environmental protection when the solution is applied in tertiary oil recovery.
