The invention relates to a rotating wheel section pre-assembly method for a ferris wheel. A rotating wheel of the ferris wheel is formed by splicing N similar standard sections. The pre-assembly method comprises the following steps: manufacturing the N standard sections; selecting the nth standard section, the (n+1)th standard section and the (n+2)th standard section from the N standard sections, and connecting the selected standard sections end to end to form a pre-assembly section; establishing a three-dimensional coordinate system, and selecting a plurality of measurement points on the pre-assembly section; measuring actual three-dimensional coordinate data of the measurement points; capturing theoretical three-dimensional coordinate data of the measurement points in a 3D model of the rotating wheel of the ferris wheel; and comparing the actual three-dimensional coordinate data with the theoretical three-dimensional coordinate data of the measurement points, and if the pre-assembly section is out of size t
