The invention discloses an optical cable with a large core number. The optical core with the large core number comprises a plurality of optical cable subunits, a center reinforcer, tearing ropes, filling stripes, an aluminum-plastic composite belt and an outer sheath, wherein the aluminum-plastic composite belt coats the peripheral sides of the center reinforcer, the optical cable subunits and the filling stripes; the outer sheath is arranged at the periphery of the aluminum-plastic composite belt; the plurality of optical cable subunits and the filling strips surround the periphery of the center reinforcer at intervals in a manner of SZ twisting; a moisture barrier material is filled between the optical cable subunits and the filling strips; the tearing ropes are respectively arranged at two ends in the aluminum-plastic composite belt along the axial direction; and the peripheral side of the outer sheath unfolds to present a wavy shape. According to the invention, the outer sheath of the optical cable is in the wavy shape, so that the contact area between the outer surface of the optical cable and a pipeline is reduced, resistance of the pipeline to the optical cable is effectively reduced, and construction is easier.
