Summary:The invention relates to a system for testing a transformer oil breakdown characteristic under an actual impulse voltage waveform function. The characteristics are that the test system includes a test cavity (5), the test cavity (5) is connected to the ground and the top is equipped with a sleeve (3), the top of the sleeve (3) is connected with an output end of an impulse voltage generator (1), the output end of the impulse voltage generator (1) is also connected to the ground through a voltage divider (2), the bottom of the abovementioned sleeve (3) is connected with the bottom of the test cavity (5) through a winding and a matched resistor (7) in sequence, and the winding consists of at least two winding segments (4) connected together in series; and a test sphere gap (6) is also arranged in the test cavity (5). By adoption of the test system provided by the invention, the breakdown characteristic of transformer oil under the actual impulse voltage waveform function in a transformer winding can be accurately mastered, which is of reference and guiding significance to transformer insulation design, fault analysis and mastering of basic insulation characteristics of transformer insulation.
