Summary:The invention provides a mobile communication timing estimation method and device. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a leader sequence sent by a mobile terminal, wherein the leader sequence is obtained according to a first ZC sequence and the conjugation of the first ZC sequence; carrying out correlation operation on a local ZC sequence and the leader sequence to obtain a value of a position corresponding to a first main peak; carrying out correlation operation on the conjugation of the local ZC sequence and the leader sequence to obtain a value of a position corresponding to a second main peak; and obtaining a carrier time delay in mobile communication according to the value of the position corresponding to the first main peak and the value of the position corresponding to the second main peak. The mobile communication timing estimation method and device provided by the invention can be used for accurately measuring the carrier time delay to satisfy the requirements of mobile satellite communication.
