The invention relates to a drinking barrel client location and distribution management method. A drinking barrel is embedded with a drinking barrel chip and/or a two-dimension code scanned by a mobile phone; a card reader reads a drinking barrel identification code of the chip; a terminal client mobile phone and a terminal reader each have a GPS positioning system; during the stage of selling drinking water to a client, after the terminal client mobile phone scans the two-dimension code or the terminal reader reads the chip, the drinking barrel identification code is obtained, the drinking barrel identification code, a geographic position of the client and a client code are sent to a control system, and the control system marks the geographic position of the client on an electronic map; and the client system marks a client position on the electronic map based on the geographic position of the client and displays the client position on the electronic map. The method can timely master the position of each client, the client distribution, and different classification messages based on clients.
