The invention relates to a constructional engineering machine, in particular to a tower crane with a wind resistance function. A cargo boom and a balance arm are rotatably arranged on a rotating table, and a first rope pulling tower and a second rope pulling tower are arranged at the top end of the cargo boom and the top end of the balance arm respectively. A first rope stretching device and a second rope stretching device are arranged at a tower top, the first rope pulling tower and the first rope stretching device are connected through a first rope, and the second rope pulling tower and the second rope stretching device are connected through a second rope. A balance weight lifting device is arranged at the inner top of a jacking frame and can move up and down in standard sections. The balance arm is provided with a balance weight slide way matched with the balance weight lifting device, an arc slide way connected with a hoisting slide way is arranged at the top end of the cargo boom, and a blocking device is arranged between the hoisting slide way and the arc slide way. Compared with the prior art, balance weights can be quickly mounted and dismounted when typhoons come or under other heavy wind states, and the cargo boom and the balance arm can be bent after the balance weights are dismounted, so that the wind area is reduced, and the gravity center of a tower body is kept stable.
