The invention relates to a composting method for a submerged plant. The method comprises following steps: (1), a pulpy submerged plant, chicken manure and sawdust are mixed, and a mixed raw material is formed and uniformly stirred; (2) the mixed raw material is subjected to aerobic fermentation, and a semi-finished compost product is formed; (3), the semi-finished compost product is subjected to secondary fermentation, and a finished compost product is formed, wherein the mass ratio of the pulpy submerged plant to the chicken manure to the sawdust is (3-8):(2-7):(1-5). According to the method, the submerged plant is used for aerobic composting for the first time, and waste utilization of submerged plant residues is realized; the finished compost product has excellent quality, and organic matters, the total nutrient content and the like all meet the national standard; the production method is simple and environment-friendly, and the composting efficiency is high.
