The invention discloses application of sophora flavescens extract or sophora flavescens ultra-fine powder in preparing fodder for improving the liver function of tilapia mossambica and particularly relates to application of sophora flavescens extract or sophora flavescens ultra-fine powder serving as fodder additives in preparing fodder for improving the liver function of tilapia mossambica, and the sophora flavescens extract is ethanol extract of sophora flavescens. It is found out through tests that when the sophora flavescens extract or sophora flavescens ultra-fine powder serving as the fodder additives is matched with conventional fodder for feeding tilapia mossambica together, the liver function index, such as urea nitrogen, cholesterol and alkaline phosphatase of fish and blood index are improved remarkably, and influences of artificial fodder on the liver functions of aquatic animals are remarkably reduced; besides, the sophora flavescens can further improve the bacterial colony diversity of fish intestinal, breeding of harmful germs is inhibited, adhesion of probiotics to the intestinal tracts is promoted, and the fodder conversion rate and weight gain rate are effectively raised.
