The invention discloses a system and method for automatically assembling a water pump assembly. The system comprises a tool frame, an annular automatic belt conveying line, conveying trays, a control mechanism, a qualified product channel and a disqualified product channel. The conveying trays are arranged on the annular automatic belt conveying line. The qualified product channel and the disqualified product channel are arranged at the discharging end of the annular automatic belt conveying line. The annular automatic belt conveying line is arranged in the tool frame. The control mechanism is arranged outside the tool frame. A manual feeding station, an image detection station, an automatic gluing station, an automatic bearing pressing station, an automatic blank cap pressing station, an automatic water seal assembly pressing station, an automatic water seal assembly detection station, an automatic flange pressing station, an automatic impeller pressing station, an automatic dynamic verification station, an automatic laser marking station and a wiping and package detection station are sequentially arranged along the outer edge of the annular automatic belt conveying line. The system is simple in structure, low in production cost, high in work efficiency and small in worker workload.
