The invention provides a track traffic communication system and a data processing method. Information, acquired by a detection device, of terminal equipment is received through a controller, and the information is converted into a CAN data signal, and, after the CAN data signal is sent to a communication gateway, the communication gateway converts the CAN data signal into a corresponding mobile network data signal and sends the mobile network data signal to cloud equipment through a mobile communication network; or the communication gateway receives a mobile network data signal, sent through a mobile communication network, of cloud equipment, converts the mobile network data signal into a corresponding CAN data signal according to a prestored format conversion protocol stack and sends the CAN data signal to the controller so that the controller sends the CAN data signal to the terminal equipment. Data interactions and information processing are performed in real time through the mobile communication network between the terminal equipment on a rail vehicle and the cloud equipment, and the data transmission capacity and data processing efficiency are improved.
