Summary:The invention relates to a pedestrian crossing signal control method based on a dedicated left turning phase of an intersection, which belongs to the technical field of urban traffic management and control. For a long road between an upstream and downstream intersection, without affecting main traffic flow, pedestrian secondary crossing guardrail facilities controlled by signals are arranged in the middle of the long road. Signal coordination between opening and closing signal time of a guardrail and the upstream and downstream intersection is guided. According to existing road conditions and pedestrian conditions, time correction is carried out. The opening and closing mode of the guardrail is associated with the phase of upstream and downstream signals. According to the invention, the isolation guardrail of a safety island is controlled; pedestrian crossing is restricted; vehicle signal lights are cancelled; simply through a pedestrian crossing control signal and opening and closing of the guardrail, pedestrians are guided to orderly cross a street; the pedestrian safety is ensured; the impact of pedestrian violations on vehicles is reduced; the risk of traffic accidents is reduced; and the pedestrian crossing facilities are arranged in the middle of the long road, which effectively reduces crossing time and detour distance of pedestrians.
