The invention discloses a cassette type air conditioner. The cassette type air conditioner comprises an evaporator and an air duct, wherein the air duct comprises a vertical air duct part and a horizontal air duct part, an air inlet of the horizontal air duct part is connected with the evaporator, the horizontal air duct part extends by a predetermined length to be connected with an air inlet of the vertical air duct part, and an air outlet of the vertical air duct part is connected with an air outlet panel. Compared with a traditional cassette type air conditioner, the cassette type air conditioner has the advantages that air can be conveyed to a position far away from a draught fan by means of the horizontal air duct part, so that it is guaranteed that the refrigerating effect of the cassette type air conditioner is evener, the air sweeping range is wider, and users feel more comfortable; furthermore, due to the fact that the air duct is divided into the horizontal air duct part and the vertical air duct part and the horizontal air duct part is connected with the evaporator, it is guaranteed that air coming out of the evaporator is not blocked by the air duct, and air supplying resistance is lower.
