Summary:A rumen-bypass pantothenic acid additive for beef cattle is prepared from raw materials in parts by mass as follows: 251-433 parts of pantothenic acid, 7-9 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 240-300 parts of hydrogenated vegetable oil, 120-200 parts of silicon dioxide and 200-240 parts of calcium stearate. A preparation method of the additive comprises the following steps: (1), the hydrogenated vegetable oil is heated and melted to be at the constant temperature of 50 DEG C; (2), the hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is heated and dissolved by 100 parts of pure water, then 100 parts of 95% ethanol is added, and a solution is prepared; (3), the pantothenic acid and 50% by mass of silicon dioxide are taken and uniformly mixed with 50% by mass of the hydrogenated vegetable oil prepared in the step (1), the mixture is processed by a 1.25-mm standard sieve and then moved to a centrifugal granulator for stirring, granules with the size ranging from 0.6 mm to 1.25 mm are prepared, after cooling, the residual 50% by mass of silicon dioxide and 50% by mass of the hydrogenated vegetable oil prepared in the step (1) are added slowly to the centrifugal granulator to coat the surface of the granules, then calcium stearate and the hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose solution prepared in the step (2) are added gradually with stirring, and the rumen-bypass pantothenic acid additive for the beef cattle is prepared.
