Summary:The invention discloses a charging method and device. The charging method includes following steps that: when a current electric vehicle is allowed to be charged, the cabin door of a plug cabin which is arranged on a charging pile body and is used for accommodating a charging plug is opened under control; after the cabin door is opened, whether the charging plug is connected with the current electric vehicle is judged; and when a judgment result indicates the charging plug has been connected with the current electric vehicle, charging services are provided for the current electric vehicle. With the charging method and device of the invention adopted, the technical problems of high possibility of damaging equipment and potential safety hazard which are brought about by the exposures of a charging plug to the outside in the prior art can be solved.
