The invention discloses an array substrate, a manufacturing method thereof and a display device. The array substrate comprises an array substrate body. The array substrate comprises a grid electrode arranged on a substrate base plate and a source electrode. The source electrode is provided with a first end connected with a pixel electrode, and a second end in the opposite direction of the first end. The second end is provided with an extension part. The orthographic projection area on the substrate base plate of the extension part exceeds the orthographic projection area on the substrate base plate of the grid electrode. In this way, it can be ensured that capacity Cgs of the grid electrode and the source electrode is kept unchanged, thereby avoiding poor displaying phenomena like Flicker.
