The method comprises the steps that a brain wave sampling device filters sampled brain waves and transmits the sampled brain waves to an intelligent eye patch; the intelligent eye patch judges the state of the brain according to the variety of the filtered brain waves with the highest energy value, and music to be played is selected according to the state and external environment and sent to an intelligent terminal; the intelligent terminal sends the music to be played to the intelligent eye patch according to the music to be played, and therefore the intelligent eye patch can assist sleeping of a user. By the adoption of the method and system, the sleeping assisting process is rapid and accurate.
