Abstract | The present invention provides a means and a method that are useful in glycine concentration measurement. Specifically, the present invention provides: a modified enzyme in which at least one amino acid residue is mutated so as to improve the properties of glycine oxidase that relate to glycine measurement (for example, the activity of glycine oxidase with respect to glycine, the thermal stability of glycine oxidase, and the substrate specificity of glycine oxidase with respect to glycine); and a glycine analysis method which includes using the modified enzyme to measure glycine contained in a sample to be examined, and the like. |
