Summary: | A transition joint for connecting a non-draining submarine cable and a soft straight submarine cable and a connecting method thereof relate to a submarine cable joint. The existing non-draining submarine cable is very difficult to purchase, and is difficult to maintain in the event of failure. The transition joint comprises a conductor connector, a joint inner shielding layer, a joint insulating layer, a joint outer shielding layer, a joint lead sleeve, and a joint protection layer. The conductor connector, the joint inner shielding layer, the joint insulating layer, the joint outer shielding layer, the joint lead sleeve and the joint protection layer are concentrically arranged from inside to outside. The conductor connector is cylindrical, the left end is opened to form a non-draining submarine cable cavity, the right end is opened to form a soft straight submarine cable cavity, and the non-draining submarine cable cavity and the soft straight submarine cable cavity are separated. The joint inner shielding layer wraps the conductor connector. The inner wall surface of the non-draining submarine cable wrapping section is a conical surface, and the diameter of the left end is greater than that of the right end. By adopting the technical scheme, maintenance is convenient, the electrical performance remains unchanged, the work is reliable, and the occurrence of electrical degradation, leaking, corrosion or harmful shrinkage is avoided. |
