The invention provides a vehicle maintenance device. The vehicle maintenance device comprises a maintenance device body. The maintenance device body comprises a data obtaining part used for obtaining vehicle data generated when the maintenance device body acts on a vehicle, and a two-dimension code generation system. The two-dimension code generation system comprises a data obtaining sub part which is arranged in such a manner that the data obtaining sub part obtains the data for generating a two-dimension code from the maintenance device body; a two-dimension code generation part used for generating the two-dimension code from the obtained data for generating the two-dimension code; and an output part used for outputting the generated two-dimension code. The invention further provides a method for obtaining maintenance data in the vehicle maintenance device. The vehicle maintenance device provided by the invention is capable of converting data related to maintenance into the two-dimension code.
