Summary:The invention relates to a determination method and an apparatus for methane desorption amount of a large-block residual coal in a goaf, and belongs to the technical field of coal mine gas content determination. The method comprises selecting naturally-fell coal samples with different particle sizes, classifying the coal samples according to the particle size, then putting the coal samples with different particle sizes respectively into sealing units with different dimensions for sealing, wherein the sealing units are connected with a methane gas detection device, finally putting the sealing units into a constant-temperature water bath, keeping a constant desorption temperature, enabling the pressure of the sealing units and the gas determination device to be at a balance state, and determining methane desorption amount. The provided determination method and the apparatus for methane desorption amount of large-block residual coal in the goaf are capable of relatively accurately determining and calculating out the methane desorption amount of the residual coal in the goaf, and thus the methane desorption rule of coal samples with different particle sizes is researched, and the determination apparatus is relatively simple and practicable, and possesses wide application value.
