The invention relates to coal water slurry for coal gasification. The coal water slurry mainly comprises coal slurry, coke slurry and a coal slurry additive, wherein the coal slurry and the coke slurry are blended in the weight ratio being (8:2)-(1:9), the coal slurry additive is added during blending, and the adding quantity of the coal slurry additive accounts for 1-10 permillage of the mass sum of the coal slurry and the coke slurry. According to the coal water slurry for coal gasification, coke waste can replace 30%-70% of coal, pretreatment such as delivery, crushing and the like is reduced, the coke waste has small granularity and is easier to grind, the formed coke slurry is mixed with the coal slurry in proportion, then the high-concentration and low-cost coal water slurry for coal gasification is obtained, the coke waste is used, environment stress is reduced, and the operation economy of a gasifier is improved.
