A camera (1) is provided with: a display panel (135) having a plurality of display regions; an operation unit (123) that receives a photography instruction and a display position modification instruction; and an imaging unit that acquires an image by imaging a subject. The camera (1) is also provided with: a display control unit that controls the display panel (135) such that, upon reception of the photography instruction, an image displayed in a certain display region is modified to a frame image acquired from a live view image in accordance with the photography instruction, and such that, upon reception of the display position modification instruction designating a display region, an image displayed in the designated display region is modified to a live view image; and a combined image processing unit (109c) that composes the image data of a plurality of images displayed in a plurality of display regions so as to generate image data of the combined images which are laid out such that the plurality of images are displayed in the display panel (135).
