The embodiment of the invention discloses a route processing method, related devices and a system in a virtual private network. The route processing method in the virtual private network VPN comprises the steps that a client boundary device calculates a first type path to a destination address; if N1 first type paths to the destination address are calculated out, one of the N1 first type paths is determined as a route for reaching the destination address; and the first type path is a path which does not go by way of a service provider boundary device, a VPN station of the client boundary device is internally provided with at least two service provider boundary devices, and the destination address is the address of one of the at least two service provider boundary devices. According to the scheme of the embodiment provided by the invention, the situation that client business data packets are discarded by PE devices is prevented to the greatest extent under the condition that some stations of the virtual private network are provided with a plurality of PE devices.
