The invention discloses a tester for a lightning stroke counter. The tester comprises a casing, the internal and surface of the casing is provided with a power supply, a test button, a charging button and a voltage output interface, the power supply is mounted in the casing, the test button is arranged at one side of the power supply, the voltage output interface is arranged at one side of the charging button, one side of the casing is provided with an LCD screen, the surface of the LCD screen is provided with a lightning stroke frequency display area, one side of the lightning stroke frequency display area is provided with a lightning stroke type display area, one side of the lightning stroke type display area is provided with a current peak display area, a monitoring coil placed at the surface of the LCD screen is arranged at one side of the current peak display area, the surface of the LCD screen is further provided with a time display area, and the time display area is placed at one side of the monitoring coil. The test frequency, time and the lightning stroke type can be set manually via a man-machine control interface of the tester, simulated lightning stroke voltage signals can be emitted via control of a mainboard, thus, continuous automatic test is realized, whether the lightning stroke frequency display area is correct can be tested, and the lightning stroke counter can be tested accurately and comprehensively.
