The invention discloses a playing progress adjustment method and an electronic apparatus. The method includes the following steps that: playing progress adjustment operation inputted by a user is obtained; a playing progress adjustment instruction containing first video playing time information is generated based on the playing progress adjustment operation; and the playing progress of a video file is adjusted according to a video frame which has the shortest time interval to a first time point represented by the first video playing time information, so that the video file can begin to be played based on the video frame. With the playing progress adjustment method or the electronic apparatus of the invention adopted, the playing progress of the video file can be adjusted based on the video frame which is nearest to the first time point after the adjustment of the user, and adjustment accuracy is high.
