The present invention discloses a method for preparing a terpene resin by using dipentene as raw material, and belongs to the technical field of forestry chemical industry product preparation. According to the present invention, according to a certain ratio, anhydrous aluminum chloride is placed into a reactor pre-filled with toluene, uniform mixing is performed, perchloric acid is added, uniform stirring is performed, an air inlet amount of nitrogen gas is continuously introduced, dipentene is added at a uniform speed in a dropwise manner to carry out a reaction, the product obtained from the reaction is washed with water, and pressure reducing distillation is performed to prepare the finished product; and the raw material ratio is adjusted, the anhydrous aluminum chloride with the specific particle size is used, and the nitrogen gas inlet amount, the reaction temperature and the like during the reaction process are strictly controlled so as to improve the softening point and the yield of the product terpene resin.
