The invention discloses a method for controlling insect pests by winding a medicine strip on a tree trunk in a ring shape, which comprises a rubber belt, a sponge strip and a straw rope, and is characterized in that the rubber belt, the sponge strip and the straw rope are separately or compositely wound on tree trucks or main branches through a method that the rubber belt is made through adhesive sticker which is prepared through insecticide or the sponge strip and the straw rope are infiltrated, thereby achieving the purpose of killing and trapping reptiles pests.
