Summary: | The present invention provides a sulfur-carbon composite material, an application of sulfur-carbon composite material in lithium-sulfur battery and a method for producing the composite material. The sulfur-carbon composite material comprises a porous carbon substrate containing both micropores and mesopores and sulfur, wherein the sulfur is only contained in the micropores of the carbon substrate.
