Summary:The invention relates to a music control method and system. The method comprises the steps of detecting trigger event of a preset music control, wherein the preset music control is a control of a touch area out of the area in which a touch screen preset at a terminal is overlapped with a display screen; responding to the triggering event to obtain a system code corresponding to the trigger event; performing corresponding music control according to obtained system code. With the adoption of the method and system, the music control can be performed without quitting the current terminal application or skidding to the currently playing music application; the operation is simple and fast, and other terminal application cannot be influenced, so that the control efficiency can be greatly increased.
