Summary:The invention belongs to the digital image processing technical field and discloses a machine vision-based twisted pair pitch measuring method, in particular, a pitch measuring method for a twisted pair in an image. The method includes the following steps that: graying and binarization processing is performed on the image; the edge of the twisted pair image is searched; recessed point detection is performed on the edge of the twisted pair image; and finally, pitch points can be found, and the pitch of the twisted pair can be calculated. Thus, with the method adopted, high automation degree and high measuring speed can be realized in a twisted pair pitch measuring process.
