Summary:The invention discloses a locking ring for bidirectionally transmitting torque. The locking ring is assembled between an inner ring and an outer ring of two power transmission components for coaxially transmitting rotation movement or torque. The locking ring is provided with a plurality of locking sheets. The locking sheets are uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction, an inner ring surface of the locking ring is fixedly connected onto the outer ring of one of the power transmission components, and an outer ring surface of the locking ring is in contact with the inner ring of the other power transmission component in a squeezing manner on the basis of elastic deformation of the locking sheets; elastic metal sheets are stamped or bent to form the locking sheets, a locking sheet upper-end friction portion is arranged at an end of each locking sheet, the locking sheet upper-end friction portions of the locking sheets are bent towards the same direction, and the outer ring surface of the locking sheet is formed by the bent top surfaces of the locking sheet upper-end friction portions. The locking ring further can be applied to a clutch and a two-speed automatic transmission of a new-energy vehicle.
