Summary:The invention relates to a cable fault detector including a fault measurement circuit, a power arithmetic unit, a voltage frequency converter, a central processor, and a wireless emission unit, the fault measurement circuit is successively connected with the power arithmetic unit, the voltage frequency converter, and the central processor through fibers, the central processor sends the fault information to a data collector of a host computer via the wireless emission unit, and the fault measurement circuit includes a zero sequence current measuring circuit and a phase current measuring circuit. The cable fault detector is arranged in a cable distribution box, and when a cable has some faults, fault position alarm is realized, and the fault searching time is greatly shortened.
