The present invention relates to a thermoelectric device 1, in particular to a thermoelectric generator or a heat pump. The thermoelectric device is equipped with a shell 2 comprising first and second shell elements 3a, 3b, wherein each shell element is made of a conductive material; at least two, preferably at least four thermoelectric elements 5, wherein the thermoelectric elements are arranged between the two shell elements 3a, 3b and are spaced with each other, and the adjacent two thermoelectric elements 5 are connected electrically by depending on the conductor bridges 6,6a,6b; a first electrical insulator 18a arranged between the thermoelectric elements and the first shell element 3a and a second electrical insulator 18b arranged between the thermoelectric elements 5 and the second shell element 3b, wherein the first electrical insulator 18a is connected with the conductor bridges 6,6a,6b and the first shell element 3a in a material bonding manner on each condition, and the second electrical insulator 18b is connected with the conductor bridges 6,6a,6b and the second shell element 3a in the material bonding manner on each condition.
