Summary:The invention provides a video storage method with high availabilty. The method comprises the steps of: storing each video I frame in each RAID5 band according to the sequence of the discs in the band, wherein each video I frame only belongs to one disc, and a plurality of video I frame group orders stored in single disc in the band are discontinuous. The video storage method with high availability can prevent all video data in each time interval as far as possible under the condition that an RAID 5 array is damaged by individually storing the I frame group on one disc in RAID5 and introducing an interweave video stoarge manner, so that the availability of the stored data is guaranteed to the greatest extent.
