Summary:The invention discloses a tension sensor based on a kagome fiber bragg grating, and belongs to the field of optical fiber sensing. The sensor comprises a light source spectrometer and an optical fiber used for connection, and an optical fiber sensing element. Light emitted by a light source is injected to the optical fiber sensing element through the optical fiber, and then the light reaches the spectrometer. Under the condition that the kagome fiber with a long period grating is stretched, modulation of refractive index would be caused by elesto-optic effect of tension and micro-band, so as to cause drifting of a resonant peak on the spectrometer. Since light waves of the kagome lattice fiber are transmitted in air holes, thermo-optical coefficient of air is very low, and external temperature variation would not influence on deviation of the resonant peak. Therefore, the tension sensor made of the kagome fiber can remove interference of temperature after sensing of tension. Compared with a common long period fiber bragg grating tension sensor, the tension sensor can eliminate interference of temperature.
