The medicament is a water solution containing juglone, wherein the concentration of juglone is 0.001-1%; juglone is wide in raw material source, can be used as an extract of a natural juglone plant and also juglone synthesized chemically, and is easy to prepare and low in cost. The medicament is convenient to use; the garlic is only soaked with the medicament for a while and then aired; the medicament is low in juglone dosage, non-toxic, environment-friendly, and capable of effectively inhibiting root growth of the garlic and effectively preventing garlic rot, and cannot inhibit seedling growth of the garlic.
