Summary:The invention discloses a method utilizing a mixture of straw and molasses to prepare alcohol and using vinasse to modify saline-alkali soil. The method comprises the following steps: grinding straws, adding water and molasses into grinded straws to obtain a mixture with a water content of 40 to 60% and a sugar content of 12 to 18%; heating the mixture, cooling, carrying out fermentation (or carrying out fermentation directly without cooling), adding yeast into the mixture, carrying out fermentation at a temperature of 26 to 40 DEG C until the sugar content of the mixture is less than 1%; steaming the fermented mixture to obtain alcohol and vinasse; and applying vinasse to saline-alkali soil to reduce the pH value. The straws and molasses are used to produce alcohol, the wastes are fully utilized, the molasses is processed, the pollution caused by burning straws is avoided, the sustainable development of economic can be achieved, the environmental pollution is reduced, and moreover, the alcohol yield is high. The obtained vinasse can effectively reduce the pH value of saline-alkali soil, furthermore, vinasse is rich in nitrogen, phosphor, potassium, vitamins, and mineral substances, can be used as good humus and fertilizer, and is capable of improving the fertilizing performance of soil effectively and promoting the growth of crops.
