Belonging to the technical field of traditional Chinese medicines, the invention discloses a new bletilla striata fibrous root biphenanthryl C, a preparation method and application thereof. The bletilla striata fibrous root biphenanthryl C is shown as formula 1. The preparation method includes: conducting reflux extraction with 95% ethanol, then using ethyl acetate to conduct extraction, subjecting the ethyl acetate extract to silica gel column chromatography, performing gradient elution with chloroform and methanol, collecting the elution component with a chloroform-to-methanol ratio of (10-6):1, carrying out thin silica gel plate sample application, combining spots with the same Rf value to obtain a combined object; and subjecting the combined object to silica gel column chromatography, then conducting semi-preparation of a high performance liquid phase, thus obtaining the bletilla striata fibrous root biphenanthryl C. The new biphenanthryl compound has very good bacteriostatic and anti-tumor effects, and mainly exists in bletilla striata fibrous roots, thus providing effective means for reasonable utilization of bletilla striata fibrous roots.
