The invention relates to the field of cleaning brushing tools and particularly provides an electric toothbrush. The electric toothbrush comprises a handle, a first control unit, a motor and a brush head, wherein a first control unit is arranged on the handle which is provided with a cavity; the motor is arranged in the cavity; the first control unit is electrically connected with the motor. The brush head comprises a supporting rack and a gear hairbrush. The supporting rack is U-shaped and comprises an outer frame of the bracket and an inner frame of the bracket; the gear hairbrush is arranged between the outer frame of the bracket and the inner frame of the bracket; each gear hairbrush of the gear hairbrush comprises a gear and bristles arranged on a plurality of faces of the gear hairbrush; each gear hairbrush of the gear hairbrush is engaged with the gear of the adjacent gear hairbrush, and one of the gear hairbrushes is connected with the motor. The electric toothbrush can be used for simultaneously cleaning the inner and outer surfaces of all teeth and abrasive surfaces of cheek teeth, so that the problem that the electric toothbrush with a single brush head is relatively tedious in tooth brushing operation is improved.
