The contrast medium is prepared through principal raw materials which comprise, by weight, 2-4 parts of roots of tomentoseflower larkspour, 4-6 parts of finelydivided phtheirospermum, 3-7 parts of polygonum orientale, 1-5 parts of ageratum conyzoides, 1-5 parts of mother-of-pearls, 1-5 parts of endothelium corneum gigeriae galli, 5-9 parts of sedum aizoon, 3-8 parts of coral dealbatus, 10-20 parts of corn, 2-6 parts of radix angelicae pubescentis, 3-9 parts of poria cocos, 10-20 parts of poria with hostwood, 6-12 parts of glossy ganoderma, 5-10 parts of lotus plumule, 2-3 parts of black bamboo roots, 4-7 parts of radix astragali and 5-15 parts of amber. The contrast medium has no toxic effects or side effects and is convenient to use and stable in physical and chemical property, comparison is obvious, images are clear, traditional Chinese medicine formulas are reasonably combined, injury of conventional contrast media to intestinal tracts is avoided, and the oral contrast medium is applied to conventional gastrointestinal tract preparation and special examination.
