Summary:The invention discloses a BIOS (Basic Input / Output System) program restoration system. The system is used for restoring a to-be-restored ROM (Read Only Memory) chip which is arranged on a motherboard and in which an abnormal BIOS program is stored. A management chip is also arranged on the motherboard; the motherboard is externally connected with a socket; a normal ROM chip is arranged in the socket and is used for starting a power-on self-check program to self-check the motherboard after the motherboard is powered on and is removed from the socket after the power-on self-check program is finished; the BIOS program restoration system also comprises restoration equipment connected with the motherboard; a normal BIOS program is stored in the restoration equipment; the management chip detects the to-be-restored ROM chip after the power-on self-check program; the restoration equipment restores the abnormal BIOS program through the normal BIOS program stored thereon after the management chip detects the to-be-restored ROM chip.
