Summary:The invention relates to a polyepoxy succinic acid type water treating agent which is used for circularly cooling water and has a corrosion inhibition effect and a scale inhibition effect. The polyepoxy succinic acid type water treating agent is prepared from a raw material maleic anhydride which sequentially has a salt forming reaction, an olefin oxidation reaction, an epoxide loop-opening polymerization reaction and a deamination reaction with ammonia water. Under a condition that the temperature is 40 DEG C and the feeding concentration is 90mg/L, the corrosion inhibition of the polyepoxy succinic acid type water treating agent disclosed by the invention is 85% to 90%. Besides, the polyepoxy succinic acid type water treating agent disclosed by the invention also has the characteristics of being free of phosphorus, easy to degrade, environmentally friendly and the like.
