The invention relates to the technical field of self-cleaning filter equipment and in particular relates to a self-cleaning filter with brushes. The self-cleaning filter is provided with a barrel, wherein an end cover is fixedly arranged at the top end of the barrel; a liquid inlet is formed in the upper half part of the outer wall of the barrel; a liquid outlet and a drain outlet are formed in the bottom of the barrel; a butterfly valve is arranged on the liquid outlet; a drain valve is arranged on the drain outlet; a hollow rotating shaft filled with a cleaning liquid is arranged in the barrel and is sleeved by a filter element; spray heads are installed on the rotating shaft; a rotating arm installation seat is fixed on the rotating shaft above the filter element; two rotating arms are symmetrically arranged on the rotating arm installation seat about the rotating shaft and are connected with the stainless steel brushes. The self-cleaning filter is reasonable in design and has a compact structure, a high degree of automation and good cleaning effects, and meanwhile, the service life is prolonged.
