Summary:The invention discloses a compound insecticidal composition containing pyridalyl and alpha-cypermethrin, and application thereof. The insecticidal composition uses pyridalyl and alpha-cypermethrin as insecticidal active components, wherein a weight ratio of pyridalyl to alpha-cypermethrin is 1-80: 1-80. The insecticidal composition can produce high synergistic effect, overcomes and delays pest resistance to insecticide, has a fast insecticidal speed and a long persistent period, reduces insecticidal cost and exerts obviously better prevention and treatment effects compared with prevention and treatment effects of each single insecticide in the composition. The insecticidal composition provided by the invention can prevent and treat lepidoptera pests attacking crops, especially cotton bollworm and stem borers, and has obviously better prevention and treatment effects compared with prevention and treatment effects of each single insecticide in the composition.
