Summary:Provided are a charger for rechargeable batteries and a charging method of the charger. The method comprises the steps that an overshoot of the value of battery information is set; battery information provided by battery management systems in all the rechargeable batteries is continuously received; battery information values from all battery management units are continuously ranked; the rechargeable battery with the minimum battery information value is charged; after the newest battery information value of the rechargeable battery needing to be charged becomes the maximum, and exceeds the overshoot of the battery information value of the second rechargeable battery, the rechargeable battery stops being charged; the rechargeable battery with the minimum battery information value in the last rank is charged.
