Summary: | The present disclosure provides a highly reliable organic electroluminescence device and a manufacturing method thereof. An organic electroluminescence device (1) includes at least one organic electroluminescence element (3), a structure (5), a to-be-covered portion 6 and a passivation film (7). On a substrate (2), the organic electroluminescence element (3) includes an anode (31), an organic layer (32) including an organic light emitting layer, and a cathode (33). The structure (5) is disposed on the substrate (2), and thickness of the structure (5) is greater than that of the organic electroluminescence element (3). The to-be-covered portion (6) is disposed at a step bottom portion (51) of the structure (5) and is formed such that the curvature radius of the cross-sectional shape of the to-be-covered portion (6) at the step bottom portion (51) is at least 0.3 micrometers. The passivation film (7) covers the organic electroluminescence element (3), the structure (5) and the to-be-covered portion (6). |
