Summary:The invention discloses a dynamic voltage and frequency scaling device and method. The device comprises a delay line module, a corresponding module, a parameter obtaining module and an adjustment device, wherein the delay line module is used for obtaining the number of delay stages required to lock a current clock, wherein the current clock is a work clock of a chip to be adjusted or a clock in direct proportion to the work clock of the chip to be adjusted; the corresponding module is used for providing a corresponding relationship between the number of delay stages and performance parameters of the chip; the parameter obtaining module is used for obtaining the performance parameters of the chip corresponding to the number of delay stages based on the number of delay stages and the corresponding relationship output by the delay line module; the adjustment module is used for performing dynamic voltage and frequency scaling on the chip to be adjusted according to an upper limit and a lower limit of the current power consumption level of the chip to be adjusted and the performance parameters of the chip. According to the invention, the chip without built-in sensor or test program can implement dynamic voltage and frequency scaling.
